IP 12 – Handling and assistance exoskeleton for work with overhead arms
The IP12 model Skelex is an ergoskeleton (ergonomic handling exoskeleton) and is light, company and flexible. It is suitable for all tasks in which arduousness may be caused by overhead arms. It makes work easier by significantly reducing weight and muscle fatigue, as well as energy expenditure. It guarantees improved productivity while minimising the risks of musculoskeletal disorders.
Light and mobile, it relieves tension that may be felt in the rotator cuff (shoulder), trapezius and arms. It does not require an external power supply due to its 100% mechanical design. It is available in different sizes and is suitable for all builds.

This ergoskeleton can be used in all applications requiring work with arms overhead with or without a tool. As an example, public works, industry, service professions, etc. The spectrum is extremely broad: workers in the metallurgy, automobile, aviation and naval industries using light tools (drills, sanders, welding torches, etc). As well as workers on building sites (painters, electricians, roofers, etc) and all other underbody workstations (maintenance, repair, servicing, etc.)
Working with overhead arms repeatedly causes fatigue and affects accuracy. This can result in costly production errors. This fatigue can also lead to long-term MSD of the shoulder and back. Our handling and assistance exoskeleton for holding tools, the IP12 model Skelex, supports employees’ arms and allows them to focus on the work they are doing with their hands by reducing arduousness.
Our IP12 handling exoskeleton is useful in the following professions: Building and Public Works, Naval Sites and Industry, Automobile and Aviation Construction, Maintenance and Repair (underbody).
The IP12 model SKELEX ergoskeleton helps building painters will all their tasks with overhead arms such as sanding and painting. It allows work over long periods of time and helps to reduce MSD risks.
This ergoskeleton, also known as an exoskeleton, perfectly complements the IP11 for the work of painters who often assume uncomfortable neck positions. In this case, the IP11 helps to reduce neck cramps, compression and pain.

The IP12 exoskeleton can also be used in laundries, where repetitive actions with overhead arms take place. It allows the operator to maintain the same position for long periods without suffering fatigue.
The use of exoskeletons in the agrifood industry offers considerable benefits in terms of improved productivity, safety and well-being of workers. Thanks to these technological advances, workers can benefit from a safer, more ergonomic and more productive work environment.
During repeated sanding operations, the IP12 model Skelex ergoskeleton, in addition to reducing fatigue, increases productivity and improves quality by reducing areas where sanding needs to be repeated.
Repetitive milking actions can put dairy farmers at risk of shoulder pain, tendinitis, bursitis, etc. To prevent this MSD risk, AGRO CONCEPT has chosen GOBIO and its IP12 exoskeleton.
The exoskeleton has been adapted to provide enhanced and earlier assistance to meet the specific needs of dairy farmers.
During maintenance of green spaces, for tedious tasks such as pruning trees or cutting hedges, the shoulders are put under significant strain. The high position of the arms in addition to carrying a heavy load quickly results in a loss of productivity and favours the appearance of MSD. Use of our IP12 exoskeleton can help to overcome these two problems.
François DEROT, Director – AGRO CONCEPT
«To reduce the arduousness suffered by dairy cow farmers in their daily work, AGRO CONCEPT has selected GOBIO and its IP12 exoskeleton. In fact, this exoskeleton has been specifically adapted to the specific needs of farmers in order to provide enhanced and earlier assistance.
It helps prevent the risks of shoulder pain, tendinitis, bursitis or any other MSD related to repetitive milking actions. Today, the IP12 exoskeleton has been adopted by more than milkers in the Grand-Ouest and by the INRAE in Rennes»
David Prins, Welder – DMI, unit of the Royal Netherlands Navy
« […] This is a support device. I used it for a large welding job where the tasks had to be done overhead over a length of 30 metres, in three layers. When you spend the whole day in a position like this one, it causes significant muscle acidification. The support for the arms makes all the difference»

Cédric Eloy, Director of Group Innovation – DAHER
« The exoskeleton offered by GOBIO means we can help our colleagues to improve their posture at work and prevent possible MSD. After a testing phase, we have adopted the solution to several of our activities and our employees like the easy and reassuring use of the exoskeleton »
